A Junk Drawer of Photos

Updated: Apr 23, 2020

Most of my memories of Alamosa consist of camping at Zapata Falls. I would trek up here almost every available weekend regardless of the season. One could see the stars at night, hear plenty of songbirds, and witness amazing sunsets. It is a great place because the view is stunning. You can literally see for miles across this massive valley, which is so large it can be seen from space. This photo is only the southern section of it and also includes a wildlife refuge. Those patches of water are where migratory birds spend the summer. That is also almost the exact location of brother Ben's land.

Paul took this and the photo above. This was at Zapata either before or after our Lake Powell trip.

Brother Matt in the house! The Great Sand Dunes with a blanket of snow on a sunny spring day.

Beans got married! And I got dreads.
