Peace and quiet is the best way to start the day. This is a tourist trap at night. On the hunt for coffee this morning.

Lijiang 丽江 is a town slowly evolving to city status. It is popular because of the classical roofs and architecture in "old town". It has become a night-life hot-spot with bars, clubs and bizarre people. Definitely cool to check out for a night or two, but no more than that.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain 玉龙雪山, 5,596m (18,360ft) has historically been the religious and spiritual centerpiece for local people.

A travelling companion of mine introduced me to a kind local woman. This is her home. She recently became a grandmother.
