Time to get back to work. I left Colorado and headed to Portland to tie down some loose ends before I took off to Asia to resume teaching. Ben joined me for part of the journey and we met Tim who was nearby for a disc golf tournament. This was in Utah north of I-70.

We stayed here for two or three days. Ben found it and it was a pure nugget of a spot.

Time to split from Ben and Tim. At the top of some hills in Utah I found another (free) area to pitch my tent.

I know, nothing particularly special about this, but this is southeast Oregon. Oregon is beautiful everywhere.

And that's all she wrote, ladies and gentlemen. This was my last campsite in the hills of Oregon before I pulled into Paul's house in Portland. It was fitting as this was one of the most memorable spots I had during an awesome five-month break in the US.
It was great to see new places and old friends. I learned a lot in 2016.
