During the summer of 2013 I left my job in Alamosa and trekked around Utah on my way to Oregon. It was a solo trip and characterized by building awesome firepits and not paying to sleep outside. Paying to sleep outside is silly. Unfortunately the trip was broken up by random job interviews, so I would have to leave a park and find the nearest airport. Regardless, this could be considered the incubation of Pete Creature. The trip began in Capitol Reef National Park.

Capitol Reef National Park is a geologist's dream. Although I don't know as much as Paul, this place is incredible.

This is the split down the middle. You can see it a little bit in the first picture.

I know this just looks like a bunch of rocks, but these are big rocks! Earth is wild. Go check it out before humans destroy it all in the name of progress.

This was my first night on the trip. It began on a full moon, and I still remember that evening vividly. This is facing the direction of the soon-to-be moon-rise.

About Me

Shorts and t-shirt time in Maracaibo. I'm all about Natalia Lafourcade & Mon Laferte, goofing off, staring at the bridge outside my window, and drinking coffee.
